DoHa Project Lecture at Masaryk University in Brno

On 23 April, the DoHa Project team — Anna Józefowska-Domańska, together with Bogumiła Wolska, Adam Budziszewski and Adrianna Niźnik-Karmowska — delivered a lecture for students of the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno.

The talk, titled “Funerary Practices, Mobility and Social Hierarchy at the Domasław Cemetery”, presented the Bronze Age and Early Iron Age cemetery at Domasław as one of the most important cremation burial grounds in Central Europe. The lecture introduced key findings on funerary practices, mobility, grave architecture, pottery assemblages, weapons, ornaments and social hierarchy, as well as the research aims and interdisciplinary methods of the DoHa Project.

We would like to thank Masaryk University and the seminar organisers for the invitation and the opportunity to present our work to such an engaged academic audience.
