We are pleased to announce the first DoHa Project Seminar in Wrocław.
The Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology PAS invites you to a seminar lecture:
“Mobility Patterns and Social Hierarchies. A Bioarchaeological and Chronological Study of the Late Bronze Age and Hallstatt Period Cemetery in Domasław”.
During the meeting, we will also present the DoHa Project Team: Anna Józefowska-Domańska, Bogumiła Wolska, Adam Budziszewski, and Adrianna Niźnik-Karmowska.
First, we will present the main assumptions of the DoHa Project and introduce the research framework for the study of the Domasław cemetery. Next, we will explain how the project combines bioarchaeology, chronology, and laboratory analyses.
We will also outline the key research questions, the scope of the planned work and the main methods used in the DoHa Project. These include osteoarchaeology of cremations, isotopic analyses, radiocarbon dating, and spatial-statistical approaches.
Finally, we will discuss the broader aims of the project. We will show how the Domasław material can contribute to current debates on mobility, social differentiation, and Hallstatt networks.
